I could see from the product specifications that this would be a thin, small, paperback book, and that was fine with me. My mom asked for a book on how to tie scarves, so this seemed to fit the bill.However, when it arrived, it looked extraordinarily cheap - it's basically made by a free publishing service, and doesn't look much nicer than a Shutterfly photo book - except this doesn't even have glossy pages. The photos aren't stellar quality, and the lighting in them is poor.
Luckily for Kathleen Lukens, most of the other scarf-related books on Amazon are horrendously dated looking, so people are easily suckered into buying this book.
I'm all for supporting first time authors, even if the final product is a little rough around the edges. But this is extremely poorly done. Not only is the quality of the material lackluster, but the execution really makes you feel like you paid $8.00 for a cheap pamphlet.

As I go through all of the scarf tying books I've purchased I realize that I am going to be a scarf tying Pro. How fun and I can teach others.
I've already tried some new waays to wear scarves. Very helpful ---good pictures and easy to follow. May order another as a gift.
I had several scarves that my son had given me for Christmas but only knew about 1 or 2 ways to wear them so this book helped me by showing me several other ways.
With scarves being back in fashion right now, this has some great tips on how to wear them in many ways. Great price for great ideas.
A lot of the ideas in the book are common ones that I already knew. I had bought it as a gift, but now I think I'm going to have to add a little more to it to make it a decent gift.
This book is great. I really like the simple straight forward instructions and pictures. I'm getting ready to have surgery on my neck and this book gave me great ideas on different ways to wear scarves to cover my healing scars. )
Very good for rectangular scarves, some great ideas. Not so much if you like squares and no, you can't always fold your square into a rectangle and make it work.
